OUR DIVISIONS
Our INTEGIRLS chapter hosts two competitions a year. One in the spring, and one in the fall. Each competition is split into three division: elementary, middle, and high school. This competition is designed to be challenging, but all students are welcome!
ELEMENTARY: This competition ranges in first grade math skills, such as counting, to fifth grade, with more advanced topics such as probability and fraction adding.
MIDDLE: This competition is very similar to middle school math competition topics, including AMC8 level questions and problems in difficulty close to Math is Cool.
HIGH: This is our most challenging competition, with our competitors usually scoring a 1-5 out of 15 total points. The questions are advanced and in line with the difficulty of the AMC 10/12.
TIMING & FORMAT:
Overall, our competition is formatted with an opening ceremony, an individual round, a team estimathon, a bonus tiebreaker round, and finally, the awards ceremony. The usual runtime is around 3 hours and we will communicate beforehand if this will change.
